Towards the end of last month, Sport reported Leeds United star Raphinha is still on Barcelona’s agenda for the summer.

It was also explained it will ‘not be easy’ for the La Liga side to negotiate with the Whites to sign the winger.

Jesse Marsch’s side are currently 17th in the table with 34 points from 34 matches. They are two points ahead of 18th placed Everton, who have a game in hand.

Claims made by The Telegraph are relayed by today’s Mundo Deportivo, who then share their views on this case. The newspaper states the Blaugrana ‘want to control Raphinha’s future’.

Mundo got in touch with Barca, and their sources told them that Xavi Hernández’s side ‘will not take any steps’ until they know where the Whites will play next season.

The report further adds the Spanish giants are aware Raphinha’s ‘will is to dress as a Barça player’, but they will not take steps until they find out where Leeds United finish this season.

They clearly feel things will be easier in the case of relegation.
