Until the transfer window closes or Kristoffer Ajer leaves, Milan will continue to be linked with the versatile Norwegian.
The Celtic star has been long linked with a move to Italy, as Paolo Maldini and co. continue to look for a defender capable of helping Stefano Pioli’s squad.
The last bit we covered on this story came a couple of days ago, as it was claimed the Parkhead based club wanted at least €20m for their player, and wanted it all ‘guaranteed’.
That complicated things for Milan, although the Serie A side aren’t ready to give up just yet, with talks continuing regarding a possible move.
This is being reported by two separate outlets, starting with Corriere dello Sport.
Their stance is that Celtic’s Europa League qualifiers is standing in the way, meaning the talks ‘need to be postponed again’.
This is backed up by Tuttosport, relayed by Pianeta Milan, who state Milan ‘will have a summit with representatives of SEG (the company in charge of Ajer’s affairs) after the third qualifying round’.
It’s also said the defender, as things stand, is the one who ‘would have the greatest chance of reaching Milan’.
However, there are other names on the list, just in case.
