TMW have reported Bologna are looking to tie Filip Helander down to the club, with his contract set to expire next year.
The Swede has been linked with a move to England, and one of the clubs said to be interested in the player was Leeds United.
It’s been claimed by TMW, Bologna want Helander to commit himself to the club beyond June 2019. The Sweden international has become a key player for the Serie A side this season, and Bologna are hopeful he will remain at the club, despite links with a move to England in recent months.
During the last summer transfer window we covered reports from Italy that Leeds United were showing ‘insistence’ in their pursuit of the central defender.
Previous to these reports it was claimed Leeds United were lining up a €6m offer for Helander, and this considered partnering him with his national teammate Pontus Jansson.
Aston Villa have also been linked with the former Malmo player after sending scouts to get a lowdown.
