Since the start of November, we’ve been seeing reports from the German media claiming Manchester United are interested in Bayern Munich centre-forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.
With the Red Devils looking to add a striker to their squad, it’s been said a couple of times that the club have a ‘strong’ will of landing him in the winter transfer window.
Manchester United’s task, however, wouldn’t be very easy, because according to a new update from the German press, Bayern Munich are not looking to let go of Choupo-Moting in January.
As Bild journalist Christian Falk comes up with his ‘True or not true’ answers, he claims that the Bundesliga giants ‘won’t agree’ to the striker’s transfer to Old Trafford in the winter.
That means that if Manchester United are actually interested in the 33-year-old, they must show up with a quite convincing bid to make Bayern Munich change their mind in the middle of the season.
Choupo-Moting has ten goals in 15 appearances for the German side this season. The fact he isn’t a regular starter makes his stats more impressive, as he scores in every 77 minutes on the pitch.
