Turkish newspaper Takvim report the reason Galatasaray haven’t officially announced the signing of Henry Onyekuru is because they can’t get an agreement with Everton over a redemption clause.
The Turkish champions informed the Stock Market (KAP) at the start of the week that they are in talks with Everton to sign Onyekuru but the deal still hasn’t been made official.
Onyekuru has also reportedly had his medical with the Turkish champions.
However, according to Takvim the reason his move hasn’t been made official is because of the redemption clause the two sides are currently negotiating. Galatasaray are looking to insert a clause for Onyekuru but Takvim report Everton currently don’t want to offer this.
Takvim haven’t given an indication the redemption fee Galatasaray are seeking and talks will continue with Everton.
Earlier reports from Turkey suggested this would be straight loan deal with no option to buy, but it seems Galatasaray are looking to add a buying clause.
