It seems we’re about to see an interesting battle for Nottingham Forest midfielder Gustavo Scarpa.
Earlier this week, reports from Brazil claimed that Atlético Mineiro are engaged in talks for his signing, with the Tricky Trees demanding €4m for a permanent transfer.
Now, according to ESPN Brasil, it’s Internacional who have ‘joined strongly’ the fight for the Nottingham Forest player.
It’s claimed that the Colorado have ‘big interest’ in the player, as he’d be the ‘perfect name’ for their midfield.
Even though Internacional have a presidential election scheduled for the next month, both candidates agree they should go for Scarpa’s signing.
That battle can only be good for Nottingham Forest, who will apparently have the chance to make some cash from the midfielder’s sale next year.
The player is currently having a loan spell at Olympiakos, where he’s been playing very little, so taking him out of the Greek side in the middle of the season shouldn’t be a big deal.
Scarpa joined Nottingham Forest as a free agent back in January, and could now leave for a few millions.
