TRT Spor journalist Firat Gunayer reports Watford striker Danny Welbeck has been offered to Besiktas and the Turkish club are considering making a move for him.
The English striker is looking to leave following Watford’s relegation to the Championship, and Gunayer reports the player has been placed on the transfer list.
According to the claims, Watford are looking to sell the player but if they can’t offload him on a permanent deal then they would consider accepting a loan offer for the 29 year old.
Gunayer also claims Watford have yet to receive a ‘sufficient’ offer for the former Manchester United and Arsenal forward. As far as the Turkish journalist is aware, the Black Eagles are ready to enter into transfer talks with the Premier League club.
Besiktas are in the market for a striker after parting ways with their captain and leading goalscorer Burak Yilmaz.
Welbeck made 20 appearances in all competitions for Watford last season and managed to score three goals. His contract at Vicarage Road will expire at the end of June 2022.
