Ecuadorian side Independiente Del Valle have finally opened up regarding Manchester United’s chase for Moises Caicedo, and the news isn’t very good for Red Devils fans.
The club’s general manager Santiago Morales was interviewed by Radio La Red today, and among many topics, he spoke a little about the race for the 19-year-old.
“There’s interest from various teams for Moisés Caicedo and we believe that we will not have him this year,” Morales told Radio La Red.
The official had already spoken to the local press claiming there were several clubs interested in the midfielder. Now this time, he addressed specifically the rumours linking Caicedo to Manchester United, turning them all down.
“There is much speculation with Moisés Caicedo, but we haven’t had any communication with Manchester United. We are surprised that they even talk about values, but we haven’t spoken with Manchester United, although we have spoken with other great teams in the world.”
Earlier today, we’d already covered a couple of reports from Ecuador regarding this chase. The first one, from El Diario, claimed that there’s no deal between Manchester United and Independiente Del Valle so far.
However, claims from journalist Pipe Serra said the Red Devils should have no problems regarding the transfer free, the personal terms and the player’s work permit. It was all about the club making a final decision on making the signing.
