Fotospor report Besiktas are now focused on signing Everton attacking midfielder Nikola Vlasic because they are having second thoughts over Borussia Dortmund’s Shinji Kagawa.

The Croatia international is currently on loan with CSKA Moscow and has been linked with the Istanbul club in recent weeks.

It’s claimed Dortmund were looking to sell Kagawa for a fee believed to be in the region of €4m but the German club have changed their minds and are now looking for €9m. The former Manchester player is currently on loan with Besiktas.

For that reason, Besiktas have started to look at their other options, with Everton’s Vlasic being one of those.

Yesterday we covered comments the player made about his situation with Everton and he confirmed nobody from the Premier League club has contacted him. He also revealed to the Russian media that he doesn’t know where he’ll be playing next season.

Vlasic has a contract with Everton until the June 2022 but there’s a good chance he could be loaned out again next season.
