Earlier on Wednesday, we covered an article from the Italian media looking at Inter’s transfer window, and who they could go for.
Wanting a new midfielder, Antonio Conte had set his sights on either Chelsea’s N’Golo Kanté or Tottenham’s Tanguy Ndombélé.
The latter of the two was described as the ‘easier’ to get due to his situation under José Mourinho, as well as the fact the Portuguese manager is a fan of Milan Škriniar (read potential swap).
Fast forward to the afternoon, and the story of Inter’s interest in Ndombélé has been corroborated in France, with RMC Sport, via their journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi, claiming he’s one of the Serie A side’s priorities.
They explain Conte ‘isn’t letting go’ of the 23-year-old, with those in charge of transfers at the Italian side having ‘contacted Tottenham multiple times’.
It’s stated the London club are ‘unyielding’ in their position, with Daniel Levy ‘not wanting to let the former Lyon player go’ despite him being ‘in the cold’ with Mourinho.
This hasn’t put off Inter, however, who are said to be planning on ‘coming back on the attack in the coming days’ for a new attempt.
