Haber All PostsGlobal journalist Sercan Dikme claims Besiktas could look to sign Southampton’s Mario Lemina after Galatasaray president Mustafa Cengiz announced they will not look to extend his loan stay.

Lemina spent last season on loan at Gala but the club’s president confirmed this week they won’t try to re-sign him. Subsequently Dikme claims Besiktas could be his next destination.

Sergen Yalcin is looking to sign a new midfielder this summer and Dikme reports they are also interested in signing either Bernard Mensah or Jens Jonsson.

Dikme adds Besiktas are making moves to sign Lemina, but the Southampton player’s wages are causing a stumbling block. It’s reported he earns €2m a season, which the Super Lig side can’t afford given their poor financial situation.

The 26 year old made 28 appearances for Galatasaray in all competitions last season, scoring one goal.

His contract with Southampton will expire at the end of June 2022. However, it seems he doesn’t have a future at St Marys after falling out favour during the 2018/19 season.
