Fotomac report Galatasaray are looking to sign Manchester United midfielder Fred before the start of the new season.
The Super Lig side are in the market for central midfielders and the Turkish newspaper claim they’ve turned their attention to Fred. It’s claimed they could make a loan offer to Manchester United for the Brazilian.
Gala have been linked with other midfielders from the Premier League, including former loanees Jean Michael Seri and Mario Lemina, however, they haven’t been able to convince either Fulham or Southampton over new deals.
Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim is also said to be happy about the prospect of having Fred in his team for next season, and the Turkish club’s board are now monitoring the Manchester United player’s situation.
Fred was linked with a move to Gala last summer and Fotomac believe this could turn into a reality this time, which sounds wildly optimistic.
A much used member of the squad, a United exit wouldn’t make sense.
The 27 year old made 48 appearances in all competitions for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side last season. His contract at Old Trafford will expire at the end of June 2023.
