Earlier this week, we covered claims from Brazil which stated Cruzeiro manager Leonardo Jardim has asked executive director Alexandre Mattos to consider signing Nottingham Forest’s Carlos Miguel.
They also reported he’s happy with the Reds but doesn’t rule out a move to Brazil in the summer window.
Journalist Heverton Guimarães stated the Brazilian club are watching the Nottingham Forest goalkeeper closely. Goal Brasil back that up and then provide their own take on this case.
Miguel joined the English club from Corinthians last summer and has played three games this season.
Cruzeiro are keeping an eye on him, after including the stopper in their target list. The report adds ‘evaluations are carried out constantly’ by the Brazilian club, but they will only make an approach for the 26-year-old on certain condition.
They currently have Cássio, Léo Aragão and Otávio as the three goalkeepers in the squad. Goal state Cruzeiro will try to sign Miguel only if one of the three players were to move elsewhere or pick up an injury.
Therefore, they haven’t yet made contact with Miguel or Nottingham Forest over a move in the next window. If they do, both the player and Nuno Espírito Santo’s side will have to make a decision.
