On Thursday, we covered a claim from Corriere Bergamo that Tottenham Hotspur remain at the window for Atalanta’s Ruslan Malinovskyi.
Later that day, journalist Ignazio Genuardi stated West Ham United have joined Spurs and Marseille in the race to sign the 29-year-old.
Genuardi also explained the attacking midfielder favours a move to the Premier League, giving both the London clubs an advantage over Marseille.
Tottenham have been after the Ukraine international since the last window, and he came close to leaving the Serie A side in the summer but was not able to get a move.
Malinovskyi’s contract expires next June, meaning the winter market will be the Italian club’s last chance to cash in from his sale.
With Spurs in the mix to sign the Ukrainian, his sale will help Atalanta raise funds that is needed to sign a left-footed winger in January.
Whether Tottenham would be prepared to pay €15m for a player they can get on a free next summer, however, remains to be seen.
