It seems André Gomes could still leave Everton before January.

Not having played any minutes for the Toffees this season, the 30-year-old midfielder may find a destination in Turkey, according to local reports.

On Twitter, journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu writes that Fenerbahce are now interested in signing Gomes from Everton.

There isn’t much more to his story, with the reporter only claiming to have the ‘exclusive’ information that the Istanbul club want him signed before the end of the transfer window.

Gomes spent last season on loan at Lille, and following his return to Everton this summer, he was only brought to the bench for the opening Premier League game against Fulham.

It’s pretty clear that he’s not in the Toffees’ plans for the season, so a move to Fenerbahce could turn up as a very interesting option after most transfer windows have already closed.

The midfielder’s contract with Everton runs until the end of the season, so we shall see whether the Turkish side will be willing to pay a fee for the transfer or have other plans in mind.
