Çağlar Söyüncü has entered the last six months of his deal at Leicester City and his future seems to be away from the King Power Stadium.
On January 4th, Mundo Deportivo reported the defender has a verbal agreement with Atlético Madrid to join them as a free agent next summer. The possibility of the La Liga side making an approach for him in January was also discussed.
AS have a report on Söyüncü and their title reads Atlético ‘insist on signing’ the Leicester player this month.
With the report, it’s explained the Turkey international is the chosen one to reinforce the Spanish club’s defence for the second half of this season.
It’s claimed Atlético directors are ‘negotiating with Leicester’ to make Söyüncü available at Diego Simeone’s disposal in January, and the Foxes player also wants to join them as soon as possible.
AS further add the Madrid club ‘tries to persuade’ Leicester to sanction Söyüncü’s sale for a moderate price in January.
If they are successful, he will sign a five-and-a-half-year deal, and it will include an annual salary of €5m. If not, the defender will join them for free next summer.
