Tottenham Hotspur’s Tanguy Ndombele was allowed to go out on loan to Napoli last summer and the Italian club have an option to make his stay permanent.
The midfielder has a goal and an assist from 29 appearances in all competitions this season, which includes only nine starts.
CalcioNapoli24 question whether the Tottenham owned player has done enough to convince the Serie A side to buy him in the summer. They will make a decision on this in June.
The 26-year-old has not had an impact the Naples club hoped he would have and wasn’t convincing enough when given opportunities. Ndombele was overweight when he arrived in Italy and it intially impacted his game time.
The report adds it’s ‘more than a matter of money’ when discussing if the Frenchman will be redeemed. Spurs have every interest in giving away the player but ‘cannot ask for moon’.
It also needs to be seen whether Spalletti will be fully convinced of this operation to buy the Tottenham owned midfielder.
Napoli ‘hope’ they can buy Ndombele for a reasonable price and then help him regain his best version next season. He needs to showcase on the pitch that it’s worth for the Serie A leaders to bet on him.
In other words, the Tottenham man has a few months to prove his worth to Napoli.
