Turkish newspaper Fanatik claim Arsenal won’t be looking to bring Mohamed Elneny back into their squad for next season, which is positive news for Besiktas, who are said to be looking to keep him.
After joining the club from Gunners, the Egyptian midfielder has been an important member of the Besiktas team and there were reports in the Turkish press that the Black Eagles are looking to keep him for next season.
Fanatik say the former Basel midfielder isn’t part of Mikel Arteta’s plans for next season and that will strengthen Besiktas’ hand.
Besiktas are reportedly following Elneny’s situation at Arsenal very closely and they could make a move for the player in the near future, with the their manager Sergen Yalcin previously stating he’s very happy with the 27 year old.
The player himself has repeatedly said in he past he’d be keen to remain in Istanbul.
Elneny has made 28 appearances for the Super Lig side in all competitions this season and is under contract with Arsenal until June 2022.
