Christian Benteke’s future is likely to be away from Crystal Palace if there is no renewal in the coming month or so.

The Belgian striker’s current deal expires on June 30th and his contract situation at Selhurst Park has put a handful of clubs on alert, particularly those from his own country.

Last month, we relayed news from Belgium that Club Brugge will be in pole position to sign the 30-year-old, if he decides to return to his homeland.

Voetbal24 now provides the latest update on where the former Liverpool man could end up next season.

Club Brugge’s interest in highlighted and it’s stated once more they tried to sign him last summer as well as in the winter market, but a move never materialised because the player wasn’t in favour of swapping London for Bruges.

Elsewhere, Royal Antwerp have a plan of bringing the Palace player in the summer and they could be ‘successful’.

Antwerp’s board have no intention ‘not to refuse to make an offer’ to the frontman, which could see him ‘immediately become the big earner’ at the club.

Voetbal24 further add it’s ‘not illogical’ for Antwerp to be ‘fully committed’ in signing Roy Hodgson’s man, mainly because of the situation around their own player, Dieumerci Mbokani.

At 35, he will be a free agent after this season as he would probably not renew his contract, thus Benteke could be perfect replacement for the DR Congo international at Royal Antwerp.
