Nottingham Forest are yet to make a bid for Beşiktaş defender Romain Saiss, but the club are open to a sale according to Sporting Director Ceyhun Kazancı.
He’s been speaking at a press conference discussing the Turkish side’s plans for this summer transfer window, relayed by NTV Spor.
Saiss is one of the players who has been linked with a move away from the club, having earned himself admirers around Europe with his performances for Morocco at the World Cup in Qatar.
Nottingham Forest are believed to be keen on him, having also shown interest in the January transfer window but not getting a deal over the line at that point.
Numerous reports since then have made it clear that they are pushing for a deal this summer and Beşiktaş President Ahmet Nur Çebi confirmed there were offers for the player.
This was followed by a claim that Nottingham Forest had already sent a proposal for the player, but it seems that if they have it wasn’t enough, at least according to Kazancı’s latest comments on the matter.
“Saiss wants to leave,” he said.
“But we haven’t received an offer at the level we wanted yet. If the offer meets our expectations, we will approve his departure.”
