Wolverhampton Wanderers are negotiating with Real Sociedad for Willian José and this has been confirmed by the managers of both clubs in the last two days.
The La Liga side host Real Betis later today and Imanol Alguacil has confirmed the 29-year-old will be left out of the squad for the league tie.
Mundo Deportivo once again explain the striker didn’t train with the club on Friday nor will he play against Betis.
The Brazilian is ‘waiting to close his signing’ with Wolves, and will join them on loan until the end of the season.
According to the report, the deal is delayed because the South American is ‘waiting’ to sort out the process of obtaining a work permit to play in England.
The newspaper then talks of the agreement between the two sides. It’s claimed there’s a ‘purchase option of about €25m’ and this includes variables.
La Real are ‘convinced’ Nuno Espírito Santo’s side will pay this amount to make José’s loan stay permanent in the summer.
If this happens, the Spanish club will receive 70 percent of the fee since they don’t own 100 percent of his rights.
Since it’s not a mandatory purchase option, Mundo adds La Real ‘want to obtain a penalty’ of €3m if Wolves decide not to retain José beyond his loan spell.
In this way, Real Sociedad can partly pay for the signing of Carlos Fernández. The Sevilla player will arrive in January, but the first payment will be made in June.
