Just a few days ago, the idea that Juventus could sign Divock Origi started to appear, but they aren’t the only club from Serie A after him.
That came from Gazzetta dello Sport, but it’s now Il Tempo’s turn to push a transfer for the Belgian from Liverpool to Italy, as Lazio are said to be keen on his services.
It’s said the club are ‘thinking’ about the Anfield striker, and they would have already ‘been in contact’ with intermediaries looking to move Origi away from Jürgen Klopp’s side in January.
Despite what the German manager thinks of the Belgium international, his game time at Liverpool is almost laughable, and the promise of getting more minutes elsewhere would certainly be appealing.
Origi is seen as a ‘low cost affair’ for Lazio, and would be ‘perfect’ for the football Maurizio Sarri wants to play.
However, before anything happens, the Italians need to find a new club for Vedat Muriqi, who has been a terrible flop for the Rome based side since his arrival from Fenerbahce in September 2020.
