Fenerbahçe captain Simon Kjaer is closing in on his dream move to AC Milan, and Fenerbahçe are subsequently looking for defenders to replace him.
Fanatik claim Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma is a target for the Turkish giants if Kjaer leaves the club this summer. The Turkish newspaper has reported Fenerbahçe boss Aykut Kocaman thinks Chelsea’s Zouma could be the ideal replacement for Kjaer.
The Turkish club are currently waiting on the Dane’s transfer to Italy before making their move for the Chelsea player. Fenerbahçe would want to loan Zouma for one season, and they will also have to convince the Frenchman to move to Turkey.
Zouma will reportedly leave Chelsea on loan this summer as he continues his recover from the serious knee injury which ruled him for most of last season.
The young defender was used sporadically by Chelsea boss Antonio Conte last season after he returned from his injury, and regular first team football would enhance his chances to get a place in the France squad for next year’s World Cup.
