On July 2nd, we carried a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, who claimed that ‘research continues’ for Bologna in signing Pedro Obiang from West Ham United.

The midfielder has been linked with host of clubs in the Serie A and another Italian outlet now claims Parma are also looking at the Guinea international.

Parma Today goes on to claim that Parma director of football Daniele Faggiano’s ‘latest idea’ to strengthen his side’s midfield is to sign the 27-year-old.

The midfielder still has three years left on his contract with the Premier League side and Parma would need to submit a lucrative offer to take him away from the London Stadium.

It is claimed that Parma’s idea is to sign the former Sampdoria man on a season long loan deal with an option or obligation to make the deal permanent in the summer of 2020, which sounds optimistic to say the least.

For now, this is just an idea of Faggiano and it’s also been reported by TV Parma, as relayed by Calciomercato.
