Takvim have claimed Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek has spoken to his close friends with regards to signing a forward this summer, and the Turkish newspaper predicts it will be either Manchester City’s Wilfried Bony or Guanzghou’s Jackson Martinez.

According to Takvim, Özbek has said: “We have struggled all season attacking, especially with strikers. I have to solve this problem with signing a great, and experienced, striker. A new striker has to please all the fans.”

However, there are contrasting reports in the Turkish media which say Galatasaray are set to reject a chance to sign Martinez because of his injury record, so that leaves Bony and Nice’s Mario Balotelli as their prime forward targets.

Bony has been linked with a move to Turkey in recent weeks and given all the Turkish giants are in the hunt for a striker, we can expect other teams to show an interest in the Manchester City outcast soon.

Bony currently is out of the picture at Stoke City, and the loan hasn’t exactly worked. The Ivorian striker is expected to depart Manchester City in the summer because he isn’t suited to Pep Guardiola’s style of play, and a move Turkey is a strong possibility.
