Tottenham Hotspur have made contact and carried out ‘polls’ for Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries, according to claims coming out of Italy on Thursday.
Last summer, the 25-year-old arrived at the San Siro and replaced Achraf Hakimi, who had moved to Paris Saint-Germain. Dumfries has managed four goals and seven assists in all competitions for the Serie A winners this season.
The right wing-back has convinced not only the Nerazzurri and their supporters but has also ‘attracted the attention’ of Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who explain the leaders of the north London club and the German champions have the 25-year-old’s name in their notebook. It’s even claimed that Inter have been ‘already informed of a potential interest’ from Fabio Paratici and Bayern.
Inter chief Giuseppe Marotta chief would like to keep the Netherlands international at the San Siro. However, the player can leave in the next window if his club were to receive the ‘right offer’.
According to Tuttosport, a proposal of €35-40m would ‘probably be accepted’.
Antonio Conte’s side and Bayern have carried out polls for the Dutchman. Only time will tell whether Tottenham or the Bundesliga winners will make the ‘right offer’ to sign Dumfries in the summer.
Tuttosport suggest the player could be an alternative to Torino’s Wilfried Singo, who has also been linked with Spurs.
