After being left out of Mikel Arteta’s plans at Arsenal this season, Héctor Bellerín joined Real Betis on a season-long loan deal in the summer of 2021.

The 27-year-old has enjoyed a good spell with the La Liga side and was part of their Copa del Rey winning squad, assisting Borja Iglesias’ opener in the final against Valencia last Saturday.

Earlier this month, ABC Sevilla reported the Spanish club have ‘already expressed’ their desire to buy the Arsenal owned player after this campaign.

Sport on Thursday state that Manuel Pellegrini’s side are ‘very happy’ with the right-back’s performances and ‘will make an effort’ to retain him beyond this loan deal.

It’s claimed Los Verdiblancos and Arsenal have ‘already entered into talks’ to make the Gunners defender’s transfer permanent in the summer.

Bellerín’s contract at the Emirates will run down in 2023.

The newspaper says the Premier League side ‘ask’ for €10m to sell the Spain international, and Real Betis will go through the case, as it could not be in any other way for them.
