Former Chelsea star Claude Makélélé is working on a deal to bring Paris Saint Germain youngster Kays Ruiz-Atil to the club.
According to RMC Sport, Makélélé, who works as a youth coach and technical director at Stamford Bridge these days, is ‘very active’ in trying to bring the 17-year-old to the club.
RMC report that Ruiz-Atil is unsettled at the French side, having struggled to make things work out since a move from Barcelona in 2015.
As a result, another move is possible this month and ‘alerted by the situation’, Chelsea have made their move via Makélélé.
The former midfielder was in Paris on Sunday to watch PSG’s draw with Monaco and is actively working to try and bring Ruiz-Atil to London.
The youngster is ‘not insensitive’ to the interest being shown by Chelsea, but the Premier League will have to convince PSG, who have ‘cringed’ at the attention, into a sale first.
They are not ‘completely closed’ to letting the 17-year-old go, but, are waiting for a ‘concrete sign’ from the Blues before deciding what to do.
