Aksam report Manchester City’s Jason Denayer is only looking to sign for Galatasaray after rejecting an approach from Leeds United.
Denayer spent last season on loan with the Istanbul club, where he won the Super Lig title.
The Belgian international has been linked with Leeds United in the past week, which could be seen as an ambitious move by the Championship club.
It’s claimed Leeds United were looking to bring in the Manchester City defender but Aksam say he turned down an offer from the West Yorkshire club. Denayer has also rejected the chance to head to Spain as he only wants a return to Galatasaray.
According to Aksam, Denayer has regularly been sending ‘cryptic’ messages to Galatasaray fans, and he recently posted on social media whilst listening to Turkish singer Ibrahim Tatlises.
Denayer looks surplus to requirements at Manchester City, and he wasn’t involved in the Community Shield game against Chelsea at the weekend.
However, Leeds United links have been questionable from the start. There were several opinion articles saying Leeds ‘must’/’should’ move for the player and it all spread from there.
The Turkish press like to say players have turned down other options for their clubs so this could be stretching things even further.
