According to claims in the Italian media Leeds United have secured the signing of Chievo Verona forward Caleb Ekuban. The 23-year-old has been linked with move to Elland Road in recent weeks.
Gazzetta Di Mantova have reported the Ekuban’s proposed move to Leeds United ‘is all done’, and that the deal now just needs to be made official.
The Italian newspaper say Ekuban is destined for a new adventure in England with Leeds United after impressing the Championship side with his performances last season.
At the weekend we covered claims from Italy that Ekuban was one step away from his transfer to Leeds United. The young forward scored 17 goals whilst out on loan with Albanian side Partizani Tirana last season, which brought him to the attention of Leeds United.
It’s been reported in the English media Ekuban’s agent is a friend of Leeds United’s new sporting director Victor Orta, but his move to the English club has been played down in the past week.
