Raul Jimenez is now expected to be signing for Wolverhampton Wanderers ‘very soon’, according to reports from the Portuguese press today.
Newspaper A Bola claims that everything is done, and the club’s plan is to announce the signing before the start of the World Cup. They say that in England, the information is that the move could be made official still today, completing ignoring the fact it was they who started the Tuesday claim.
Jimenez is debuting in the 2018 World Cup on Sunday, as Mexico will be facing Germany in their first fixture of Group F.
A Bola claims that Wolves will be paying €3m for the one-year loan deal, and will have a buying option to sign the player permanently for €38m at the end of the season.
Raul Jimenez will hope for more than last time at this World Cup. He made it to the squad in 2014 and played against Brazil for six minutes, but that was all for him.
Now with a more important role, still not as a guaranteed starter, maybe Wolves fans will have a chance to watch him for a few more minutes more in this tournament.
