For the past few days, West Ham, Leeds United and Barcelona have been mentioned as Arthur Cabral’s suitors.
Over the weekend, Goal Brasil reported the Hammers held a virtual meeting with the FC Basel star’s representatives.
The striker has grabbed attention from David Moyes’ side and Barca, after shining for the Swiss club, by scoring 25 goals and registering eight assists in 26 matches this season.
Reports in Spain suggest the 23-year-old is one of the options considered by the Catalan club to bolster their attack in January. There were even claims stating that Barca are negotiating with his agent.
According to 4-4-2.ch, Basel have not received a ‘written offer’ from the La Liga side for the Brazilian.
However, an English club is making ‘concrete efforts’ to sign the goalscoring star, and have ‘submitted an offer’ of around €20m. The reports says the club is thought to be West Ham.
It’s claimed Cabral’s ‘departure from Basel in approaching’. The Swiss side are ‘preparing’ for his exit, which is likely to take place in January.
The end the report by stating: ‘Basel will not refuse to approve Cabral’s departure in January simply on the basis of economic reason.’
