Liverpool face Real Madrid in the Champions League Final on May 26th, and the idea of the two clubs trying to destabilise each other is being pushed by Don Balon.
Sure, the Spanish website isn’t exactly reliable, but the scenario of Liverpool and Madrid contacting each other’s players and trying to mess with their heads is quite entertaining.
Don Balon report that Jurgen Klopp is ‘destabilising’ Real Madrid because he’s interested in Casemiro.
The brilliant and often overlooked Brazilian is a key player for Zinedine Zidane, and Liverpool would be trying to rock the transfer boat ahead of the big European final.
It’s also a move of ‘revenge’ from the Premier League side, because of the increasing links between Real Madrid and Mohamed Salah.
Now, let’s pretend for one moment that Madrid are moving for Salah – it would be all over Spanish publications such as Marca, AS and El Confidencial, and not limited to Don Balon’s ongoing obsession. So there doesn’t seem a lot of reason for Klopp’s ‘revenge’.
PSG and Chelsea are also said to be interested in Casemiro. Leaving Don Balon aside, interest makes sense but is almost certainly useless right now. Getting games in Madrid, there seems no reason for Casemiro to consider an exit.
