Filip Krovinović is currently at West Bromwich Albion, having joined them on loan from Benfica in 2019.

On Monday, Portuguese newspaper Record reported the 25-year-old’s loan stay at The Hawthorns will be cut short so that he can join another club in the winter market.

It was also stated Nottingham Forest have shown interest in the midfielder and he is ‘close’ to joining them.

O Jogo today explain the Croatian’s loan deal with West Brom will be rescinded since he isn’t included in Sam Allardyce’s plans.

The Benfica man’s future is set to be ‘resolved very soon’ and the Primeira Liga club want the player to remain in England, even if it means that he will have to play in the Championship.

According to the report, ‘everything is set’ for Krovinović to continue in England, but with Nottingham Forest.

Benfica’s desire for the Croatian to continue in the English league saw them turn down an approach made by HNK Hajduk Split.

Krovinović felt a return to his home country would improve his chances of receiving a call for the national team, but the Portuguese side didn’t see a move to Hajduk Split as the best solution.
