At this point, the whole world knows that Paul Pogba’s contract with Manchester United expires this summer.

It’s not exactly a secret, and the rumours surrounding the France international have been ongoing pretty much from the moment he re-signed for the Red Devils all those years ago in a big fanfare transfer from Juventus.

Still, there has always been talk of a renewal at Manchester United, even if it seemed like a long shot, but the closer we get to June 30th, the less likely it is he will actually sign it.

This leaves the door wide open for various clubs to bring him in on a free this summer, with Paris Saint-Germain seemingly at the front of the queue.

The news, which will come as anything but a surprise, comes from Foot Mercato in France, who explain that during his last stay at Doha, Leonardo, who is the technical director for the French side, ‘clearly insisted to the Parisian club’s hierarchy to wrap up the transfer of the French midfielder’.

In fact, the Brazilian feels Pogba is the ‘major signing’ the club needs to pull off this summer.

An offer ‘has been made’ to the player, because this is allowed at this stage of the Manchester United midfielder’s contract, meaning things are ‘quickly accelerating’ around the Frenchman.
