After a couple of weeks of rumours building regarding Atletico Madrid interest, claims are coming from Spain on Sunday that Alvaro Morata has ‘already signed’ for the club.
The striker wasn’t involved on Saturday as Maurizio Sarri saw his Chelsea side lose 2-0 to Arsenal, in a performance which clearly disgusted the Italian manager.
Morata hasn’t been happy at the club for a while, and the question has been over where he could end up this month, and what type of structure the move would take.
It’s explained that Barcelona and Atletico had been fighting hard to secure the player, and despite the Catalan club struggling until the end to try and swing the deal their way, Morata decided to move to Atletico.
The Chelsea player signed his contract on Saturday, and will be wearing a rojiblanco shirt in the coming days, according to the claims. There’s no explanation on the structure of a deal.
