Chelsea goalkeeper Karlo Ziger is on his way out of the club, according to reports from the Italian media.
It was journalist Gianluca Di Marzio who broke the news about the transfer, claiming the player is moving to HNK Gorica. Even though he’d been loaned out during last season, he’s now set to go on a permanent deal.
Di Marzio claims Chelsea had an option to extend Ziger’s contract, but the talks were ‘frozen’ during the issues with Roman Abramovich, and the player is now leaving one year before the end of his deal.
The 21-year-old’s departure is also covered by outlet Tutto Mercato Web. All they needed was a single sentence, claiming it’s their own info, saying the player is moving to HNK Gorica in an ‘outright sale’.
None of the stories, however, say how much Chelsea, if anything, are making from the transfer. The Blues signed the player from NK Zagreb back in 2017, but the closest he got to the first team was a bench appearance in a Premier League game in October 2020.
