Chelsea defender Axel Disasi has been given total confident by the club and the management, who plan to ‘pamper their protégé’.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who report that the 26-year-old is very much in the club’s long-term plans and being eased gently back in to action.
They report that Disasi is ‘gradually returning’ to the for Chelsea after being the victim of physical problem and then groin surgery in the summer.
His preparation in pre-season was ‘truncated’ as a result but Chelsea have not given up on him and instead plan to ‘pamper their protégé’.
They’re instead going to keep introducing him to action slowly, but the player has been made aware that he can ‘count on the confidence of his management’.
He’s under no pressure and not one of the players who could be moved on, a ‘healthy environment’ that it is hoped can help him to gain strength in the weeks to come.
The defender is a name who can be ruled out of any future potential sales, even if Chelsea are yet to see any sizeable return on the €45m they paid to sign him from Monaco in August 2023.
