The way things are going, there’s very little chance Ola Aina will be a Chelsea player next season.
Currently on loan at Torino in Serie A, the full-back has impressed, and work has already started within the Italian side to try and make the move permanent.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Torino’s director of football, Gianluca Petrachi, is already trying to get a deal over the line, with the two sides having agreed on a €10m fee that would have to accepted should such an offer be made.
Down his end, Walter Mazzarri, the manager, has already asked Ola Aina about a stay beyond this campaign, showing a desire to work with him for the foreseeable future.
While all this sounds great, a move isn’t guaranteed as Chelsea are said to have told Torino that clubs have already contacted them with offers worth more than the €10m, which will most likely be accepted.
Such a scenario would place all the pressure on Aina, who will have to decide whether to stay in Turin or try his luck elsewhere.
Stability or a new adventure.
