Towards the end of last month, we covered a story regarding the future of Paris Saint-Germain’s Kays Ruiz-Atil, with Chelsea and Arsenal reportedly interested, according to Foot Mercato.

The young midfielder is out of contract in 2021, and while the Ligue 1 side wanted to originally tie him down for longer, they are now ‘resigned to let him leave’ should a ‘satisfying offer’ be made for his services.

This is what RMC Sport have been reporting this week, expanding on what Foot Mercato said and confirming that Chelsea made moves in January.

They state Frank Lampard’s side ‘got closer to his entourage’ and while the chance to go to England still exists, it’s ‘less hot’ than in the past few months.

The problem for Ruiz-Atil at Paris Saint-Germain is that he wants to train with the professionals despite only being 17, but those in charge at the Ligue 1 champions don’t believes he’s ready for that step just yet.

RMC Sport point out that while Dortmund and Marseille were circling, they have since pulled out, leaving Chelsea as ‘the most interested side’ these days.
