The future of Alvaro Morata is still uncertain, despite the player recently completing a move back to Real Madrid.
Many believe Real Madrid could sell Morata to another club in the current transfer window.
According to Spanish newspaper ABC, the intention of Zidane and Real Madrid is to keep Morata as a back up to Benzema.
The Spaniard is expected to join the pre-season tour on July 27, and Zidane could take a decision on his future after that.
Meanwhile, Premier League clubs have contacted his agent Juanma Lopez to push for a move, especially Chelsea.
Antonio Conte signed him at Juventus, but never really got the chance to work with him. It is reported Conte now wants him at Chelsea this season.
Lopez even met Real Madrid yesterday to discuss his future, but we don’t know the outcome of the meeting yet.
Arsenal and Manchester United have also asked for Morata, but Real Madrid don’t want to sell him just yet.
ABC, however, say Real Madrid could be forced to consider Chelsea’s bid should they offer around €70m for the player.
A lot has been said about the future of Morata, and it all gets repeated every couple of days or so.
