Ostersund chairman Daniel Kindberg has confirmed to the Swedish media that he’s been contacted by Anderlecht over Saman Ghoddos.
Last summer Queens Park Rangers tried to sign the attacker, and they’ve again been linked to the player by Fotboll Direkt today.
Speaking to the Swedish football outlet, Kinberg was asked about Anderlecht’s interest in Ghoddos. “It’s true we were contacted. They have followed us for a while and are interested in Ghoddos, but they are also looking at several of our players.”
Fotboll Direkt report a number of clubs have been tracking Ghoddos, and again QPR are a club mentioned, along with Red Star Belgrade, Chievo Verona and Celta Vigo.
The Championship side made an attempt to sign the Iran international last summer, and tabled a £1.9m offer for the forward. However, QPR’s bid was rejected by OFK as they valued the player more highly, and were also keen for him to remain in Sweden.
Ghoddos has kicked on this season, and interest from other clubs has increased after good performances in the Europa League with OFK.
The 24 year old signed a contract extension with the Swedish side this month, but it seems it’s going to be difficult keeping hold of him this summer.
