Russian website Sport Express Ru have rated the Celtic players for last night’s defeat to Zenit St Petersburg, and it doesn’t look pretty for the SPL side.

The Russian side managed to overturn a one goal deficit from the first leg at Celtic Park by defeating Brendan Rodgers’ side 3-0, with goals from Ivanovic, Kuzyaev and Alexander Kokorin.

Yesterday’s defeat will come as a blow to Rodgers, after he rested seven players last weekend in preparation for the game in Russia.

Sport Express Ru have reported on the game, and they haven’t been generous to Celtic with their ratings.

Most of the players scored a rating of five or five and half out of ten, with Olivier Ntcham the only Celtic player getting recognition for his performances with a six.

On Ntcham, it was said: ‘Not for nothing Mancini singled him out at a press conference. As in the first match he tried to disperse the attacks in the centre of the field, he imposed a fight. Together with Sinclair in the second half, he created a dangerous duo, but could not reduce the gap in the score.’

Despite the defeat to Zenit, Celtic still have plenty to play for this season, and look on course for another treble.

With Rodgers’ side nine points clear of local rivals Rangers, and a quarter final in the Scottish Cup to come, not many will bet against the Hoops clearing up domestically again.
