Marcelino takes men to Celtic Park as Valencia take on Brendan Rodgers’ side in the Europa League clash on Thursday.
He’s already rested ‘important players’ for the midweek fixture as the Spanish club travelled to Glasgow without the likes of Rodrigo, José Luis Gayà, Facundo Roncaglia, Gabriel Paulista and Santi Mina.
There was also a selection issue over whether Neto or Jaume Doménech will start in between the posts against Celtic.
Spanish newspaper AS has come up with Valencia’s predicted line-up to face the Scottish Premiership side and they have backed Neto to start ahead of Doménech. They expect the La Liga outfit to have a 4-4-2 formation to face Celtic.
With Paulista out of action and Roncaglia suspended for the European fixture, Marcelino is likely to go with Ezequiel Garay and Adama Diakhaby in the heart of the back four, with Cristiano Piccini and Toni Lato as the two fullbacks.
Daniel Parejo and Francis Coquelin will be the two midfielders, while last summer signing Daniel Wass and Ferran Torres will be the two wingers. Kevin Gameiro will join Gonçalo Guedes to lead Valencia’s attack against the Bhoys.
Celtic will be looking for a victory and hoping for a clean sheet to improve their chances of progressing to the next round of the competition.
