The past few days have seen a number of articles being written in the Portuguese press about Porto’s interest in Olivier Ntcham.
The Celtic midfielder has become a rather big target for the Liga NOS side, waiting to find out whether or not the Scottish Premiership champions would make it to the Champions League.
As of Tuesday night, they know the answer to that is no, meaning we’re expecting a push from Porto to try and sign the 22-year-old in the coming days.
However, they weren’t the only club interested in the midfielder’s services, as L’Equipe claim Marseille were offered his services by agents after their sale of André Franck Zambo Anguissa to Fulham.
Fortunately for Celtic, the French newspaper state this was ‘without success’, meaning either Brendan Rodgers was very reluctant to sell, or the Ligue 1 side weren’t all that keen.
Without Champions League football to offer, Marseille are in no better of a position than Celtic Europe wise, anyways.
Porto, however, are a different story altogether.
