Celtic defender Christopher Jullien is continuing his talks with Schalke about a move, despite a deal failing at the last minute this week.
That’s according to journalist Marc Mechenoua, who says the player’s agent and Schalke continue to discuss a potential deal.
Jullien had been set to join the Bundesliga side on a loan deal this week, even going as far as to complete medical ahead of the switch.
However, reports yesterday made it clear that the potential transfer was now off after Schalke were unable to reach an agreement on personal terms with the Celtic defender.
La venue de Christopher Jullien à Schalke 04 n'est pas complètement écartée. Les discussions se poursuivent entre les représentants du joueurs et le club de la Ruhr. Toujours pas d'accord entre les deux parties. #Mercato #Bundesliga @GoalFrance

That seemed to put an end to the potential deal, but Mechenoua reports the Celtic player’s agent is ‘continuing’ talks with the Ruhr club.
According to his information, there is still no agreement between the two parties, but they are working to find it nonetheless.
That would suggest they haven’t given up on a move completely as yet, but there is still work to be done before it can happen.
