Bournemouth are keen on Brazilian Kaio César, who currently plies his trade for Vitória de Guimarães in Portugal.

That’s according to O Jogo, who say Bournemouth are showing an interest in the 20-year-old, who has been one of the ‘highlights’ of the Portuguese championship’ this season.

They report that the youngster, who has four goals and seven assists in 31 games in all competitions this season, has interest from across Europe.

Alongside Bournemouth, Olympiacos and Lens have shown an interest in the winger, who has been ‘justifying’ that growing interest in him via his performances for the Portuguese side.

They’re more than aware of the talent they have on their hands and have already moved quickly to sing him to a permanent deal, paying €1.5m this month to sign him from Coritiba. He had initially been on loan from the Brazilian club until the end of the season.

That may be a future proofing plan on Vitória de Guimarães’ part as they’re aware of the interest in the 20-year-old and the possibility of making a quick profit on him if either of those clubs calling in the summer.

For now, it seems Bournemouth and the others are just watching his performances with interest, but Kaio César is certainly a name to keep an eye out for.
