Turkish newspaper Fanatik report Galatasaray loanee Florin Andone could leave the club earlier than expected, with claims Celtic have made contact with Brighton & Hove Albion over a summer move.

Yesterday, we covered claims from Turkey that Celtic’s local rivals Rangers are also interested in signing the Romanian international, given the uncertain future of Jermain Defoe, and probably Alfredo Morelos. There was no claim of Steven Gerrard’s side being in talks with Brighton or the player, so it would seem Celtic are ahead of Rangers on this one.

It’s reported, likely based on nothing more than assumption, that Celtic are preparing to sell their star man Odsonne Eduard for a ‘hefty fee’ and they would like to replace him with Andone.

Even if Eduard were to stay at Celtic Park, the Brighton owned player could still be brought in by Neil Lennon to provided support.

Galatasaray are said to be aware of talks taking place with regards to Andone’s exit and they have no intention to keep him in the squad for next season, which is positive for Rangers and Celtic.

The former Deportivo La Coruna player made a good start to his Galatasaray career but after his knee injury in November he’s only featured twice for them.
