Henry Onyekuru has to turn up at Eupen today, having gone AWOL for a week in a bid to force through a move, with Celtic the most interested club.
Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad report that Celtic had £1m to buy Onyekuru, but Eupen were having none of it, not wanting to lose the player during the winter transfer window.
At one point it seemed likely player power would end in Celtic getting Onyekuru, and there was some irriation in Belgium, with one article asking why he’d want to go there in the first place.

Transfer deadline line should provide a clue, and how Moussa Dembele became a star of it. Chelsea offering €40m didn’t seem too outlandish to be believed, and that shows just how much the player has developed under Brendan Rodgers.
Celtic now need to wait until the summer to try again to sign the 19 year old attacker. The only worry is if a Russian club comes in before their window closes later this month.
