A week or so ago, we covered the latest involving Celtic’s sale of Ismaïla Soro to Valenciennes, and how the Ligue 2 side could get in trouble for their actions in the deal negotiated with Brendan Rodgers’ side.
This came as their director of football, former defender Ben Chorley, had dismissed the player’s agent from the talks and used his own English intermediary to try and get a transfer over the line.
The French Football Federation were watching the situation closely, but the latest update from Foot Mercato suggests they might never have to look into it, as the Celtic player isn’t overly thrilled by the idea of a move to France.
In fact, the Celtic midfielder would prefer to move to Beitar Jerusalem, who are also keen on the Ivorian.
A blow for Celtic, who will either have to convince him that a move to France is better for him, or negotiate with the Israeli side to get that deal over the line.
